The lighter the color paint, the higher the ceiling is going to look, the higher the ceiling, the bigger or larger the area will look. On the other hand, if you want to create a more cozy feeling, use black color paint for the ceiling and it’ll give you a lowered ceiling look.

Don’t be surprised that the color paint that you choose appears either lighter or darker once it’s painted over the wall or ceiling surface. If you’re going to paint the color over a large area, it will look darker, so, if you want a certain shade of pink for your room, get a color paint that is a shade lighter than the color paint of your choice. However, even then, it’s hard to predict the outcome unless you try the color paint over a portion of the wall first. When the color paint is much too bold
Even if the color paint isn’t exactly what you want, you can still do something about it. For instance, buying another color paint that is a muted shade of the same color paint and use rag rolling, sponging or color washing techniques to tone the original color paint down.
